I met Lydia at Junior Achievement in Chicago while we were in high school. Lydia and I shared the same bus traveling home after the meetings. My friend, Danny Thomas, and I both were interested in dating Lydia - but he traveled farther on the bus and made the connection. Lydia introduced me to her younger sister, Rita, who I dated for several years. As a result of Lydia's kindness I was able to meet and enjoy the company of her whole family as well. Her father and step-mother were warm and hospitable to me. It was very satisfying to read the biography and see she had a very happy and productive life. Even though I haven't seen her in years, she will be missed - but not forgotten.

Dearest Jim - we are so sad about Lydia's passing. But we are sure that her mouth is still wide open at the beauty and splendor of Heaven. I'm sure she is talking to Jesus a 100 miles an hour. Dear Jim, I will always have a special place in my heart for Lydia. Although I never met you, I was happy for you both when you got married. I knew Floyd & Lydia and the boys.
