Obituary of Donna Sue Klasna

A precious angel, Donna Sue (Murphy) Klasna departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 17, 2013.Donna was born on March 11, 1935 in Seymour, Missouri to Carl and Pauline (Cardwell) Murphy. At the age of 4, Donna and her family moved to Colorado and she later graduated from The Colorado Springs School in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Max Klasna, soon after graduating and their union was blessed with 3 children. Donna and her husband moved to Calhan, Colorado in 1973 with their family to pursue a life of ranching. In 1981, they started a dairy farm and worked side by side working and "worrying" tirelessly until they retired in 2003. Donna is survived by her 2 sons, Bob (Teri) Klasna and Rich (Susan) Klasna of Calhan, Colorado; her daughter, Sandy (Drew) Balsick of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her sisters, Wanda (Reggie) Edwards of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Carlene (Doyle) Lankford of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her special cousin, Rosemary Gross. Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Max; her parents, Carl and Pauline Murphy; her childhood guardians Daddy John ad Mother Nan Walden; and her Uncle Tom and Aunt Ruth Cardwell. Donna was a member of The Living Word Community Church in Calhan, Colorado. Her Christian faith, her family and her church family were her loves. She dedicated her life to Christ, believing He died on the cross for all of her sins. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
