Obituary of James "Patrick" Scott
James "Patrick" Scott: Raconteur, bar tender, Scrabble expert, skilled craftsman, "man about town," has left this world, at peace. Patrick was born to Virgil E. and Olive H. Scott in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He moved with his family to Greeley, Colorado in 1956, then to Fort Collins in 1962. He graduated from Poudre High School in 1971.Patrick contributed his considerable, diverse talents primarily to the hospitality industry, but he was also a Realtor, and craftsman in wood and stone.Patrick loved New Mexico, where he worked at Bishop's Lodge. More recently, anyone attending a Colorado Springs charitable function was likely to end up at his bar, where he served up his concoctions and his stories, both delivered with utmost skill and a big smile.Patrick may have been happiest when given wood or stone and the tools with which he could use his skills to create unique signage and other works of art.Patrick is survived by his siblings: Douglas H. Scott, Stuart R. Scott, Robert K. Scott, Chi (Leary) Scott, Karen (Arnett) Scott, and by his cat Riley. Patrick was "Captain Fun" for all, including his siblings' many children and grandchildren, who were his loving "Soldiers of Joy."Patrick would appreciate donations in his name to SAFE PLACE FOR PETS, http//www.safeplacepets.org Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
