Obituary of Rosemary Anne Dunbar

Beloved mother, mentor and friend; Rosemary was born in New York City. During the Second World War, while her husband, James, was stationed with the 8th Air Force in the United Kingdom, Rosemary worked as a telephone operator with New York Telephone. In the late 1950's, Rosemary's drive and tenacity could not be contained as she entered the workforce as a receptionist for a Long Island, New York automobile dealer selling a brand new import called Volkswagen. She later moved on to Columbia Carbon and Ribbon of Glen Cove, New York and actually appeared in magazine advertisements for the company. In the early 1970's, Rosemary and her husband moved to Colorado and settled in Woodland Park. Not content to sit around and enjoy the beauty of Colorado, Rosemary purchased a small storefront in Cripple Creek and opened the Goldfever Shop. Rosemary took Goldfever from a place selling cheap tourist trinkets to a respected business dealing with fine jewelry and clothing with a dedicated following of local and national clientele. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Dunbar, and her youngest daughter, Patricia Beth Sheridan. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Kerry Anne Dunabar of San Diego, California and her son, James John Dunbar of Peyton, Colorado.
