Obituary of Paul Donald Kelly, Sr.

On Tuesday, September 10th 2013, Paul D. Kelly peacefully entered eternal life surrounded by family and loved ones.Born 1926 in East Chicago, Indiana, Paul served two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy, as an enlisted in WWII, and Lt Junior grade in the Korean War. Paul graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He lived much of his life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, retiring to Monument, Colorado. Paul's life was filled with his family, many dear friends, a deep connection to his church, and extraordinary adventures in aviation and travel. Paul's interest in aviation and knowledge of engineering inspired him to construct a home-built Glasair plane. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the EAA, Tri Lakes United Methodist Church, the Green Bay Packers, Patsy's Candies and, most importantly, his wife and children. Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia, children; Jeanne, Carolyn, Margot, Paul, Nancy and Evelyn, step-children; Alan and Debra, as well as wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, October 19th, 2013, at 1:30pm at the Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church, 20256 Hunting Downs Way, Monument, Colorado 80132. Paul greeted everyone with his gentle spirit, warm smile, and love of laughter. He will be dearly missed.
