Obituary of Mary Lou Chisman

Mary Lou Chisman, 76, of Ellicott Colorado, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 15, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.Mary Lou was born on October 23, 1936 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to her parents Martin and Mary Jane Harding. While living on their family farm, Mary Lou attend Miami Yoder School in Rush, Colorado. She was married to her husband James Chisman on January 1, 1961 in Ellicott Colorado where they lived and raise their family.They were co- owners of the Ellicott Garage for many years with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law and enjoyed working at Vera's Bridle Shop in Colorado Springs .She also worked for Falcon 49 School District Preschool.She loved to be with her family. She made many beautiful quilts and was a member of a Quilting Club in Ellicott. She loved gardening, fishing, NASCAR and watching the Bronco games with her family. She was a fantastic cook. She was a wonderful mother and wife. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She loved being with her granddaughter Lacey, teaching her to make quilts, cook, canning, and enjoyed reading books with her. She is survived by her husband James; her two sons Walter and James; her daughter-in-law Mary; granddaughter, Lacey; her step-children, Kye and Sharon; grandchildren, Zac, Dustin and Nicole and great-grandchildren; her sister Donna and family; brothers, Calvin, Marty, John, Henry and their families, sister-in-law, Wanda Kenley and family. Many nieces and nephews and lots of family and friends.
