Obituary of Eldon Ray Jones

Eldon Ray Jones, resident of Security, CO for 43 years, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.Eldon was born on May 30, 1945 to Vernon and Lavolia (Ramey) Jones who preceded him in death. Graduated from Palmer High School in 1963, attended Trinidad State Junior College for Electronics. Eldon took a job with Robert H. Ray Geophysical Company in Libya.He married the love of his life, Nancy Lou Rumsey on the Island of Malta, on August 9, 1965. They lived there 2 ½ years, returning to the states, they lived in Seattle, WA 2 ½ years while Eldon worked for Boeing. They moved back to Colorado where he was a car salesman for 20 years. He began working for the Kissing Camels Golf Club 18 years ago and became the Engineering Assistant Director at the Garden of The God's Club. His "MacGyver" style of making things work could keep any machine running until the repair parts could arrive. Eldon was a very loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Nancy; his daughters, Deannie Aleksa, Oleta (Vance) Almeida, Kim (Don Soule) Greco, Rene (Edmund) Payton. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Grant (Carolyn) , Seattle, WA and Terry (Nancy) , La Junta, CO; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Eldon was the definition of a loving, caring, patient husband of 48 years and a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
