I met Pete in Sid Rosens band. Fondly remeber his sense of humor. He was active in student causes was helpful to encourage you when down. A smile comes to me when I remember him describing driving his parents GTO up the highway to Westcliff and how he became nervous and backed off when the front of the car became airborne at 120mph and was losing steering control. It was a great silver which has become a classic of those great years of muscle cars from the 60's. Growing up in Pueblo was like the movie American Grafetti by George Lucas before the Star Wars sagas. I saw him at a few class reunions and enjoyed catching up with him as he was so fascinating. I only learned of his passing from fellow band member Merle Prado-Brave. We all played Alto Sax and would have great time at marching band practice and at games weather we won or lost. My thoughts are with the family and I thought but might be a warming story about the Pontiac GTO....Ron Struthers

Pete was well known to me from my time at Central High. Pete was trainer for Football Team, and was very popular. Also, I think he may have been a Tennis Standout, but I know little of that. I know that Pete was like myself a long term member of 12 step Fellowships, and therefore was about helping others, it is what we do, as a means of keeping ourselves sober. Godbless, and Godspeed, Pete!

Pete was a quiet man with a warm smile for all. In the all too brief time we knew him, it was always with joy when we would see him. My husband remembers him most for his assistance to a new volunteer at Penrose Hospital. I remember earlier this summer when Pete had lost one of the furkids. I understood that pain so well. He will be missed beyond belief.

I have fond memories of Pete in Junior High and High School. I think we were the two shortest guys in our class. We both ran for student council and I lost to him in 10th grade. We were both managers of the Central High swimming team and have a great picture together with coach knapp on page 118 of the 1968 Year Book. I have Pete to thank for my interest in skiing. The first time I ever went skiing was with Pete at the San Isabel Ski area. His dad drove us up there. I'm still enjoying the sport 48 years later. Last, don't forget the great pictures of Pete on page 59, (Class Officers) in the 1970 Year Book. The Bonnie and Clyde depiction was classic! You will be missed, but not forgotten Pete. Sincerely, Gary Giarratano
