Obituary of Carl Frederick Johnson
Carl brought a twinkle into the world with his personal brand of kind and silly humor and appreciation for people. He loved his daughter and wife with quiet kindnesses and support. He passed away suddenly at home November 2, 2013.From Atchison, KS, he lived 18 years in Anchorage, Alaska and the last 20 in Colorado Springs. His early career in the oil fields took him to the north slope of Alaska. In Colorado Springs he owned All-State Horse Express for many years and most recently was owner of Southern Cross Coin Laundry where he enjoyed working with his staff and customers who will remember his smile and support.A long-time member of the Christian Science Church, he leaves behind his wife and daughter, Virginia and Blaine Johnson and his two sisters and their husbands; Cindy (Jack) Pannier, and Sarah (Jim) DeWitt.A private family service will be held, but he suggested that those who wish a remembrance set aside a time this week to quietly pray in their own way for our nation, our communities and our families.Donations may be made to First Church of Christ, Scientist; 325 N.
