Joan - I just learned of John's death. I am very sorry for your loss. John and I worked together at the hospital. He was a man of strength and character and we became fast friends. I left the hospital in 2011 and lost contact with him, but I will always remember him fondly. Allow the good in him to live on in you. Mike Stewart

Joan, I am so sorry for your loss. John was a really good influence on my life and a great human being. He taught me a lot about guitar when I was first starting out. He kept telling me I could play like anybody I liked if I just practiced enough and kept with it. That advice and his time changed my life into something so positive that there is no way to express my gratitude. Several years later, he worked on my Les Paul and made it play like a million bucks. It's still my favorite guitar all these years later. If it hadn't been for John's influence on me, my life would have been completely different. I thank God for John. John will be missed... My husband Steve and John went to high school together in Pratt Kansas.They had some fun times and enjoyed hunting,fishing together. We did many double dates together. We had reconnected a few years back and were so happy to have done that. Our sympathy to his family.

We went back along way John and I, He spent the whole month of Feb. One winter, living at our place, we went hunting, every day, lived off of what we killed, and cleaned! Played alot of guitar together! Yeah he always had big smile on his face! My condolences, to the family! In our prayers!

Ladies and Gentlemen, a good friend of ours has passed away, so let us have this moment to reflect on the great life that John has lived all these years. He has lived a long and fulfilling life. He passed away at the age of 60 and we all hope that he is at peace already because he accomplished all that he set out to do in this world. He was a loving father and husband. He has always had a cheerful disposition towards others and loved spending time with his family more than anything in this world. That is the life of John, a father to some, a friend to most of us here, and a great person who has walked the earth.

Joan and the entire John Scarbrough Family, Deeply sorry to hear about the loss of John. He surely will be missed by all that he had worked with here at Progressive Insurance. Things I personally remember about John was his sense of true comaraderie amongst all, his strong integrity and work ethic and also the great sense of humor with myself and our entire security team.
