Obituary of Kimberlee Kristine Anderson

Kimberlee Kristine Anderson, 41, passed into the hands of God on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 with her family at her side. Kimberlee was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 12, 1972 to her parents, William and Nancy Dorsey. She graduated from Wichita State University with a Master's degree in Public Administration and started her own business working with Sedgwick County. In 1998 Kimberlee married Air Force Pilot Thomas Anderson, and the couple recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.. Kimberlee was a devoted military spouse, enduring multiple overseas deployments and moves around the world while protecting the home front and caring for the couple's two handsome sons. Kimberlee was very artistic and loved scrapbooking. Her kindness and love for the Lord was revealed in her giving spirit, and she was always sending thoughtful gifts to her family and friends. Kimberlee's love of travel took her to many exciting countries, where she captured the sights on camera.She was very proud of her sons, Hunter, age 12 and Chase, age 9. A true fighter, both graceful and courageous to the end in her five-year battle with breast cancer, Kimberlee's last words to her boys as she passed were "I love you!" Kimberlee will be held forever in our loving memory. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2013, at The Memorial Pavilion at the United States Air Force Academy cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.In lieu of flowers, Kimberlee requested donations be sent to her son's education funds and Metavivor.org, a cancer research fund.
