She died on December 6, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Annita was a homemaker, military wife and mother. She graduated high school in Groveland, Florida and lived in Colorado Springs for 15 years.Annita passed after an extended fight with stage 4 colon cancer. She was not given long to live when first diagnosed in August of 2010 but she refused to give up. The past three and a half years were not only filled with the necessary treatments but also with life. Annita spent the time reconnecting with some and getting closer to others. She made several trips to Las Vegas and back home to Florida, never using her disease as an excuse not to do something. She was referred to as a "miracle patient" and "the energizer bunny" by her doctors and nurses. In the end though, the cancer won out. She will be missed by all her knew her.
