Obituary of Jeffrey Ryan Hoover

Jeffrey ("Jeff") Ryan Hoover, 64 of Edwardsville, Illinois, currently residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at his home.Jeff was born December 3, 1949 in Normandy, Missouri of Claude and Doris Hoover. He was a student of San Ramone Valley High School in Danville, California, and attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. On December 29, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri, he married Karen Lynn Moore of Warrenton, Missouri. Jeff worked for years in the trade as a millwright, helping to construct facilities ranging from the St. Louis Budweiser plant to various automobile manufacturing plants. He enjoyed the work but was forced to retire early due to work place injuries. Jeff was a third-degree Mason, belonging to the Woodland Hills Masonic Lodge #811 in Woodland Hills, California. He was a baseball lover and dedicated coach to his children through no fewer than nine seasons of baseball and softball. He was an aficionado of viewing and collecting motion pictures and had a special love for The Magnificent Seven and accompanying soundtrack.Jeff is survived by his wife Karen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Ryan James Hoover of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and two daughters, Amanda Sue Hoover of Collinsville, Illinois, and Kayla Elizabeth Parker and her husband Cory Allen Parker of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers Claude James Hoover and his wife Lanell Hoover of Yuba City, California, and Randy Craig Hoover and his wife Melvalene Hoover of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Abigail and Hannah Emig of Highland, Illinois, and Dylan and Natalie Parker of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
