Obituary of Glenna Fay Rohr

Glenna Fay Rohr, 68, of Falcon, CO passed away December 12, 2013.She was born in Walsenburg, CO to Glenn and Greta Walls on June 8, 1945. She lived on a ranch, south of LaVeta, CO, at the foot of the West Spanish Peaks. When she turned 5, her family moved to LaVeta, CO so she could attend school. She graduated from LaVeta High School and then briefly attended Adams State College before marrying the love of her life, Fred Rohr, (who she knew since 3rd grade), on March 20, 1966.She was a homemaker at heart and her greatest pleasure was doing things for her family. Her 4 grandchildren were among her greatest joys. Glenna and Fred were a great team and were always sharing whatever the project happened to be at the time. She also was the bookkeeper and fully supported her husband with their own business, Country Acoustics, for over 25 years.She will definitely be remembered for being a good listener, her hugs, candy making and awesome canned goods from their huge garden. She maintained a bit of her country roots and had chickens and ducks to enjoy. She was an accomplished seamstress. She started making clothes at a very young age. She sewed for Cloth World, her friends and family, including her sister's, daughter's, and daughter-in-law's wedding dresses.Not only was Glenna a great home-maker, bookkeeper, and seamstress-she also loved to volunteer and spent well over twenty years helping with Falcon High School and eventually became President of the Falcon High School Booster Club for many years. She was a very caring friend.Glenna is survived by her husband, Fred Rohr of Falcon, CO. Her sister Gayle (Boyd) Collins of Kersey, CO. Her son Andy (Danielle) Rohr of Falcon, CO. Her daughter, Karen (Chad) Smith. Her four grandchildren, Tyler and Brady Rohr and Christopher and Deanna Smith. And also numerous extended family and friends.Services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 and 10:00AM at the Grace Community Church in Falcon, CO, at 9475 Grace Church View, Falcon, CO 80831.Memorial Contributions may be made to a Memorial Fund at Farmer's State Bank, 7025 Old Meridian Road, Falcon, Colorado 80831, (719)495-3650.
