Obituary of Thomas "Tom" Anderson Nunnelley

Tom Nunnelley was born September 19th, 1953 in Straubing, Germany to McAllister & Wilma (Burka) Nunnelley. He passed on December 13th, 2013. His father's military career took the family from Germany to Oklahoma and then finally to Carvel, CO.After finishing high school, he moved to Colorado Springs and made his home. He married Karen Rathbun and they raised three children. He worked at Current as a Press Operator, and both Westside Body Shop and Motorama Auto Sales as a Mechanic.He lived in North Little Rock, Arkansas for a brief period with his 2nd wife before returning to Colorado Springs and his beloved Rocky Mountains and grandkids. He resumed working at Motorama Auto Sales until his retirement due to health issues. Tom had a tremendous love of the Rocky Mountains and old cars. He loved the outdoors and fishing. His toy helicopters brought neighborhood kids and adults both out to watch his trick flying. He loved old cornball comedies and horror movies. He had many famous recipes and enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. He was a compassionate man and would help anyone who needed a hand. He was a great listener and friend. He was an amazing teacher who taught his children about everything he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his three children; Tommy Nunnelley, Edie Gonzalez (Marco), and Aranda Russell (Ben), seven grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
