Obituary of Ronald Anthony Cartellone

Ronald A. Cartellone, 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his home. Ron was born September 22, 1937, in Bedford, Ohio, to Anthony B. and Anne B. Cartellone. He served Honorably as a Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps, 1956-1959. He married Patricia S. Valvoda on October 1, 1966, in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Ron spent a career as a Computer Analyst at several companies in Ohio, Iowa, and Colorado, before finally retiring from Hewlett-Packard in 2002.Outside of work, his lifelong passion was for the theater. From high school and well into his adult life he was heavily involved in community performances. Theater Cedar Rapids (Iowa) became a second home while he acted in numerous leading roles. He continued to regularly attend plays and musicals until the very end of his life. He also enjoyed travelling, reading great books, and good conversations.
