Obituary of Crystal Whitnie Chisholm

Crystal Whitnie Chisholm, 34, was born on September 5, 1979, to Terry and Alfous Harrington in Monticello, Arkansas and passed from this life on December 24, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado.Crystal graduated Hobart High School, Hobart, Oklahoma in 1997. She attended Platt College, Lawton, Oklahoma and received her LPN Certification October 2004.She held several positions as an LPN specializing in geriatrics care. Her most recent position was Resident Care Coordinator at Wynwood Assisted Living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Crystal was a very energetic, adventurous and independent woman. Some of her favorite things to do were ride her motorcycle, listen to country music, go dancing, drive in the mountains, spend time with her children and family, eat at Cold Stone Creamery, and enjoy company with friends.Crystal and Staff Sergeant Shane A. Chisholm met in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and married on May 15, 2010 in Cape Vincent, New York. Their family was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington then transferred to Fort Carson, Colorado in January 2013. She is survived by her husband, Warrant Officer Shane A. Chisholm of the home; their children, Taylor Chisholm, 15; Sequoyah Chisholm, 14; Austin Chisholm, 12 all of the home; Shantell Benson, 23, Coffeyville, Kansas, Kaela Chisholm, 20, Ramona, Oklahoma, Jacqueline Walkup, 10, Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her mother Terry Jones, Snyder, Oklahoma, brother David Kazee, Noble, Oklahoma, a sister Shelly Rubottom, Lawton, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father Alfous Dale Harrington.A Visitation will be held from 6PM to 8PM, Friday, December 27, 2013, at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. A Funeral Service will take place 10AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013, at The Springs Funeral Services.Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
