Obituary of Joung Soon Choi

Joung Soon Choi, 80, passed away on February 1, 2014 surrounded by family.She was born on January 26, 1934 in Seoul, South Korea to Yong Kil Kong and Sae Yon Choi and has resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1980. She was a member of Korean New Life Church.Mom was a very gentle and caring soul. She dedicated her life to her family, raising five children on her own, and helping to care for all eight grandchildren. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and will be missed immensely. Joung is preceded in death by her husband Yong Sul Choi. She is survived by five children, Hee Suk (Y. Lee) Choi, Hee Sun (Kim) Salvador, Ramona (Kelvin) Burns, Julie (Young) Lee, John (Yoon) Choi; eight grandchildren, Yu Jin (Kil Sun) Lee, Kang Uk Lee, Edward Burns, Ji Eun (Jong) Jeon, Jeannie (Loren) Bayles, Joon Young Lee, Hee Jae Choi, Hee Joon Choi; three great grandchildren, Claire Jeon, Ha Jon Lee, and Ye Jon Lee; and two sisters, Joung Boon Kang and Joung Ja Kang.A Visitation will be held from 4PM to 8PM on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue.
