I was lucky to serve under Tom Pratt when I was a young USAF F-4 pilot in the 526th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Ramstein AB, Germany. Tom was a terrific leader, role model and friend. He was an officer and gentleman of the first order, and a superbly competent pilot. Kathy, Kelly, and Katie--I am so sorry that Tom has passed. Please accept my most sincere condolences and salute to a good man.

Jamie and Denise, Tom and I were so sad to learn of the passing of your brother. Please know we are thinking of you today as you bid farewell. He served his country and God well and is now sharing in the eternal rewards that he earned while living here on earth. God bless you all at this very difficult time. Love you!

Tom was my roommate at the Academy, and we continued to bump into each other during our careers. We had a great F-15 vs F-4 relationship when he was in the 526 TFS at Ramstein and would always remind me during our telephonic debriefs that two sets of eyes were better than one. A great American patriot, we will miss him.

It was an honor to meet Tom and Kathy when he lived in Chapel Hill. He would smile and his eyes danced and whenever I spoke of flying. Tom was a beautiful soul. Rest in peace, brave soldier.
