Obituary of Lucretia Marchetti

It is with great sadness and grief that we acknowledge the passing of our Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend, Lucretia Marchetti. She fought a very private and fierce battle with cancer for the past eight years and her body finally succumbed to this terrible disease. Her suffering and fighting is finally over and she has gone on to a place where there is no suffering or cancer. Lucretia was an inspiration to everyone she met; she never complained about her illness or felt sorry for herself. Lucretia placed the feelings of others before her own. She would be having a very difficult day dealing with her illness and would tell everyone who called or inquired that she was fine. Lucretia fought to the very end when her body could just not take any more. Her spirit and faith were unwavering and undying. Lucretia was strong in her faith and was not afraid of death, as she knew that she would gain eternal life through her faith in God. Lucretia dedicated her entire life and spirit to her husband, children, and family. Lucretia took on the role of a mother with zest and vigor. She made our family whole. Lucretia was driven to make our boys grow up to be strong honorable men. Failure was not an option for her as she selflessly committed to building a strong family.
