Obituary of Toni Lyn Ames

Toni was a beautiful spirit. She could brighten up any room she walked into with her gorgeous smile. Although Toni started out in telecommunications and fraud awareness, her love for cooking and catering was her true passion. She loved to experiment with different ingredients to create her own fabulous concoctions. She especially loved cooking with her miniature granddaughter chef, Lyndzi. Toni had a voice that would stop you in your tracks and nearly bring a tear to your eye. She loved to sing to her granddaughters Lyndzi, Olivia, and especially to her brand new grandson, Sawyer. Toni was the most personable woman, stopping people in grocery stores just to coo at their babies or to make a new friend. She was a friend to everyone she met and would give anything to help a stranger. Her charisma was infectious. Toni was born on May 17th 1951 in Snoqualmie, Washington. As a child, her family moved around the country, residing in Washington, Michigan, New York, and Wyoming. Her career would have her travel around the world, fulfilling her dream of experiencing all walks of life. She married William Layne Ames on May 4, 1985 in Fall City, Washington and soon became a mother with the birth of their first child, Molly, soon to be followed by a son, Alex. Becoming a mother and a grandmother were two of her proudest accomplishments. Toni is survived by her husband, William Layne Ames; her daughter, Molly Ames (boyfriend William Hahn); her son, Alex Ames (Fiancé Kayla Steele); her grandchildren, Olivia, Lyndzi, and Sawyer; her father, Raymond Emmerton; and her siblings, Linda Peterson, Ronald Emmerton, and David Emmerton. A Remembrance Gathering will be held from 3:00PM to 7:00PM, Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Pinecrest Event Center, 106 Pinecrest Way.
