Obituary of Jeffrey Glenn Walker Sr.

Jeffrey Glenn Walker Sr. entered into eternal peace Wednesday March 5, 2014, with his loving wife, children, and family by his side after a long courageous battle with cancer.Jeffrey was born May 23, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. He is the son of Frankie Lee Howard and the late Joe Walker. He served in the US Navy from 1976-1979, and went on to have a successful career as an IT specialist. He retired March 2013 from Colorado State University in Pueblo Colorado. Jeffrey enjoyed computer gaming and the challenges of technology, he was fascinated by the constant advances. His real passion was his family and the special times together. He would never miss a Holiday gathering. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Joe Walker, August 1978; and his brother, Gregory Walker, January 2005.Jeffrey leaves to cherish his loving memory; his wife, Ella Walker; step children, Jessica Rivera (Danny) and Brocke Gowans (Kara) of Colorado Springs, CO; children, Jeffrey Walker Jr. of Thatcher, AZ, Taylor Walker and Austyn Walker of College State, PA; step grandchildren, Jaylah Rivera and Mya Gowans of Colorado Springs, CO; seven additional grandchildren of Thatcher, AZ; mother, Frankie Howard; step father, Charles Howard; sister, Teresa (David)Stansberry; brother Darius (Tanya) Walker, Michael Walker, and Charles (Tina) Howard Jr.; and many nieces and nephews that he treasured.Visitation, 4:00PM to 5:00PM, Friday, March 14, 2014, at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.Funeral Service, 5:00PM, Friday, March 14, 2014, at The Springs Funeral Services.Following the services there will be a reception at the Springs Funeral Services to celebrate the life and love of Jeffrey Glenn Walker Sr. Jeffrey will be laid to rest Friday, March 21, 2014, at Ft.
