It's hard for me to even begin, but I wanted Aki, Tia and Eboni to know that your mom and I loved each other so very much. We were like sisters; whatever one needed, if the other had it; she gave it. I'm having such a difficult time grasping the fact that she is gone, but will always remember the many many great times we had, as well as those times that only she and I knew about. My most special memory will always be her traveling by bus from Colorado to New York for my 50th birthday. Seeing her and all of you was the highlight of that special weekend. Although she is gone now, I will always be your Aunt Pat and know that I will always be there if you need me. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to you her children, her sisters and brothers, and the entire family. I pray that God will ease the pain of Pat leaving us so soon, but I thank Him for giving her to us for the time that He did. She was truly a genuine friend and sister. Pat no longer needs a bodyguard, she is safe in His arms.
