Obituary of Florence Adell Pohlson
After a long and productive life, Florence Adell (King) Pohlson went to her heavenly home on May 17, 2014. She was born June 7, 1921 in Fort Lupton, Colorado, the oldest of three children. Her brothers, Glen and Aubrey preceded her in death, as did her loving husband Emil. She and Emil enjoyed 42 years together before he passed in 1991.She served many years as a board member of the Peyton Cemetery Association and gave countless hours to the cemetery's upkeep and record maintenance. She was also a member of the Peyton Ladies Guild and Rebekah's Lodge. Florence is survived by her daughter, Carol (Alvin) Anderson and grandchildren, Cameron (Charity) Anderson, and Marleen (Rick) Wood. She was very proud of her great-grandchildren, Heather Anderson and Talin Wood and her great-great-granddaughter, Ashlynne Anderson. She and Emil operated a dairy ranch in Peyton for all their married years. She was then cared for by the attentive, compassionate staff at the Good Samaritan Center.Visitation, 9:00AM, Thursday, May 22, 2014, Cowboy Church of Peyton, 15504 Bradshaw Road with the funeral service to follow at 10:00AM, Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Cowboy Church of Peyton.
