Obituary of Chile Charles Collins
Chile Charles Collins, 34, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully on June 7, 2014.A gift from God was born to Willie Charles and Linda K Collins on September 4, 1979 in Clovis, New Mexico. At the age of 3 Chile moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he attended and graduated from Wasson High School in 1997. Shortly after graduation Chile met the love of is his life Tenia Monique Bell and was married on September 4, 1999 in San Antonio, Texas. In 1999, Chile enlisted into the United States Air Force and was stationed at Langley, AFB in Newport News, Virginia where they resided for 6 years before relocating back to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chile honorably served his country for 6 years. As a member of the 1st Security Forces Squadron, he deployed to various war zones such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan. Due to his dedicated service and performance he received a host of Medals and achievements, one being the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. After honorably discharging the military, Chile attended Colorado Technical University where he obtained education in Computer Science and received Microsoft Certifications. Employed as a Government contractor for 9 years, he performed as a Helpdesk Technician and Computer analyst. Chile was a great family man and provider. He spent most of his time with his family attending his children's sport and school activities. Chile loved planning barbeques, hosting fight parties, and just spending time cracking jokes with his family and friends. Chile had such a fun personality that one could be having a bad day and forget all about it after engaging in a conversation with him. He enjoyed playing and watching football and basketball. His favorite player was his son. Chile was a master craftsman with his hands performing self-taught tasks anywhere from cooking to building a car audio system. Teaching himself the art of cutting hair, he blessed many for free with perfect line ups and nice fades. He spent lots of time with his father fixing cars, performing housework, and was known as one of the family mechanics. Chile was a quiet and lovable person that lit up any room with his presence and whom could achieve anything that he set his mind to do. He was a very caring and passionate person with a heart of gold that often sacrificed for others. Chile was definitely an angel here on earth and will be greatly missed.Chile is survived by his mother and father, Willie and Linda Collins; his spouse, Tenia Collins; two children, Azailah Knox-Bell and Shyheim Collins; three sisters, Jacqueline Thomas, Charlisa Corley, and Nicole Cates; two brothers, Joseph Collins and Enrico Collins; father-in-law, James Bell; mother-in-law, Beverly Bell; sister-in-law, Tamra Bell; three nephews; eight nieces; five great-nieces and great-nephews; grandmother; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.Chile is preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil Anderson; grandmother, Ruthie Oneil; grandfather-in-law, Samuel Terrell; an uncle, Joe Boy Childress; aunts, Betty Jo Harris and Cendi Perkins; nephew, Jaycion Thomas; and cousins, John Oliver Robinson and Leon Robinson.To celebrate Chile's call to glory a viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on June 19, 2014 at the Springs Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on June 21 at the same location.
