Obituary of Dorothy Mae McKeon

Dorothy M. McKeon, age 47 passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and had worked with foster children. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend.Dorothy Mae Gaw was born on August 1, 1966 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Donald and Martha (Webster) Gaw. She graduated from high school in Pennfield, Michigan and was a graduate of the Dental Assistant Program at Pikes Peak Community College. She married Jeffrey T. McKeon on July 26, 1997 In Colorado Springs. Dorothy loved keeping things neat at home, camping, roller skating, baking and the mountains of Colorado. She will be best remembered for her kindness, faith, and service to others.She is survived by her husband: Jeffrey; her mother: Martha (and James) Rhodes; her daughter: Amanda Rhodes and her grandchildren: Hailey and Annabelle Love. She is also survived by her brother: Donald Gaw and her sisters: Donna Gaw and Heather Rhodes and her parents-in- law: Dennis and Song McKeon.Visitation 6:00-8:00PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue.
