Obituary of George Bible

George Bible, 76 of Calhan, CO. passed away on June 29, 2014 peacefully at home. Born in Passaic, NJ January 27, 1938, the son of the late Victor and Beatrice (Kahn) Bible.Growing up in Stratford, CT he was active in Boy Scouts attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Then, George honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years reaching the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and earning his Associate Degree in Science. His career continued working for several defense contractors until his retirement in 2003. In his spare time, George enjoyed doing carpentry and spending time with his dogs.He is survived by his loving wife, Darla (Nimmo) Bible of 31 years; a son, Greg Bible and his wife, Darlene Bible of Calhan, CO; two daughters, Monica Hyde and her husband Mark of Naperville, IL and Lynn Bible of Fayetteville, NC; a sister, Betty Baer of Harrison, NY; a brother, Victor Bible and wife Betty Bible of Simsbury, CT; sister-in-law, Diane Yake of Milwaukee, WI and brother-in-law, David Nimmo, of Poynette, WI; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial service, 1:00PM, Thursday, July 10, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the American Legion, P.O.
