Obituary of Danny Ray Lindley
Danny Ray Lindley, age 66, a resident of Fountain, Colorado passed away on August 11, 2014 at his home. He was a Mechanical Designer for numerous aerospace companies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Danny was born on November 29, 1947 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He attended schools in California and was a 1965 graduate of Torrance High School. He was a very pleasant and good man who was a United States Army Soldier and Vietnam Veteran. He later married and raised a family. He was a member and past president of the Izaak Walton League of America and was an avid trap shooter. He was also a member of the Pikes Peak Gun Club. He was employed for many years with Lockheed Martin and was instrumental in the design of the seats of the Space Shuttle with AMI Industries. Danny was very proud of his restoration of his 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air.He married Carla Roth on September 17, 1983 in Colorado Springs. Carla survives and lives in Fountain. He is also survived by his three daughters, Patrice Lindley, Paulette Buckhanan and Pamela Langford. He has seven wonderful grandchildren, Elijah Turner, Brett Lindley, Seanya Lindley, DeVon Langford, Rauk Langford, Ajani Buckhanan and Aizon Buckhanan; and one great-grandchild, Carter Walker.Memorial Services will be held at the Southern Colorado Veterans Cemetery at a future date. Memorials in his name may be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
