Obituary of LeeRoy Monroe Gordon

LeeRoy M. Gordon, age 73, a resident of Colorado Springs for the last two years, and from Ramah, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home. He was retired and had previously been self-employed and a hay farmer. LeeRoy Monroe Gordon was born on September 11, 1940 in Alma, Illinois to Edwin and Elayne (Lansford) Gordon. He attended high school in Monticello, Illinois and college in Phoenix, Arizona. He married Margaret Wilson on February 16, 1964 in Champaign, Illinois.He is survived by his wife, Margaret, now of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughter, Sheri Gordon of Phoenix; and his son, Lance (Kimberly) Gordon of Phoenix. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Travis, Doninique, Brianna, Derrick and Daniel. LeeRoy has a brother, Lemual (Sheila) Gordon of Phoenix and a sister, Frieda (Lee) Rapp of Las Vegas, Nevada.Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Liberty Plains Baptist Church, 604 Summit Street, Simla, Colorado.
