I knew I kept being drawn to the memorial on the pole at 31st for a reason. Our family returned back home in late August and it wasn't until last week that I took a bike ride from our home in Manitou and actually was able to see who it was for. As I read Nick's obituary my first thought is God Bless you Nick. You were such a kind and warm server and I was always struck by the joy your eyes and heart radiated when we were waited on. What a blessing and gift you were to this world. May your family and loved ones find strength during this time of burning grief that they will find you again in the divine realm and that reunion shall be for eternity. Jones Family

To the Uberecken Family; I saw your son obituary and felt I had too reach out too you. When someone so young dies like Nick, you want too say this shouldn't be. My heart goes out to you doing this very difficult time in your life. I'm sure many thoughts and questions are filling your mind at this time. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your young son. . Although I didn't know him , I feel your pain because of losing my loved ones to the "enemy" who robs us of life (1 Corinthians 15:26) I hope you can draw hope from Jesus' promise of the resurrection at John 5:25. Love and prayers to you all of you..Such a hard tragedy for everyone. My kids are all three as such a loss..especially my boys Elias and Jo who considered Nicky to be one of their very best friends. I had a dozen of Nicks friends at my house on Thursday..shedding tears and sharing smiles of his life and all of the good times they enjoyed with him and knowing that they were truly blessed to have had the honor of having such a great friend in their lives. What a horrible loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Nicky will always be in our heart and thoughts. This is just so sad but everyone remember him for what he brought into this world love, happiness, smiles and the positivity he shined on us. He is gone but not forever. This is terrible tragedy. Nick is one of the warmest most personable young men I know. I will miss his smile and friendship during my visits to Uncle Sam's. My love to Jordan. I also want all of the Shinkles and Ubereckens to know that the entire Weimer family is thinking of you.

We are shedding tears for all of you. Nick's positive attitude, work ethic, and his genuine kindness is an example for all of us. I first met Nick as a 7th grade boy and I am so impressed with the young man he became...we will all truly miss him. I am lucky and honored to have known Nick...great friend, family member and genuine soul.
