My deepest sympathy to the family. Please know that God is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Psalms 34:18

Chuck, Ellen and Abby: I am truly sorry for your loss of George. It is extremely difficult to cope with the pain of such a loss. It seems very unnatural to lose loved ones the way we do and especially at such a young age. Something that personally helps me cope is Psalm 34: 17, 18 and Isaiah 25:8. Knowing God is near to those broken at heart is so beautiful and comforting. Our loving God also has a plan to put an end to death and resurrect our loved ones on a cleansed earth. Psalm 37:10-11, 29; Revelation 21:3-5. George loved Gods creations and will love the new earth. I pray you will reflect on these scriptures at a later date when everything has calmed down and they will bring you peace. With heartfelt condolences

It is my privilege to have known such an incredible young man. I'll not forget the great discussions and activities we shared while in Youth Group. Mine and many other hearts ache now, but one day we will all rejoice together. Through tears and heavy heart I write condolences to Chuck, Ellen, and Abby. Words cannot express my appreciation for the love you've all shown me. Comfort at a time such as this comes from God. May He bless you and guide you from here. LOVE.

I have known the Graham family since the late 1990s when they lived in Ann Arbor. In 2008 I had the privilege of hiking up Mt. Sherman in Colorado with George and his father, Chuck. George and I were able to make it to the top, but Chuck came up a few hundred feet short. While we were on top of the mountain, George took several great pictures of the surrounding majestic scenery and emailed me copies of them so that I could remember the awesomness of that day. You are missed, George, but may you have joy and peace in the presence of your savior, Jesus Christ, now and forever.

I spent a few weeks with George 2 years ago when he was here in Wheaton. We shared a few tears and many laughs. My heart is heavy for the family. The world has lost a great young man.

We have lots of fond memories of George from his time with CRU in Colorado Springs. In fact, around this time last year, he went on the camping trip with us to Eleven Mile Canyon. I went hiking with him and some other students and I enjoyed learning more about him. As we leave for the annual camping trip tomorrow, I am sure that I won't be the only one remembering George. He will be missed.
