Obituary of Shane Cannon
A Delta, Colorado native, Shane excelled in motocross at a young age. In the mid' 70's he built a successful concrete contracting business while also racing off-road and hill climb cars. Always an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and big game hunting across the US and Canada. His adventure story "My Last Colorado Mountain Goat Hunt" was published in the 'The Bighorn' magazine in winter 2013. He had recently been very active with the Pikes Peak Range Riders where he thoroughly enjoyed riding his mules with his Range Rider Brothers.Throughout his life he was surrounded by many friends and family, including his loving wife Jodi and his faithful companion, his dog Eddie. Shane is survived by his wife, Jodi Cannon; his father, Art Cannon; his mother, Gwen Cannon; two sisters, Christine VanVerth and Ceresa (Bill) Grammer; and two nieces, Shayna Grammer and Larissa Grammer.Shane will be missed very much by everyone who knew and loved him.A Celebration of Shane's Life will be held at 4:00PM, Monday, September 15, 2014 at Maguireville, 18110 Knollwood Boulevard, Monument, Colorado.Memorial Contributions in Shane's name may be made to Pikes Peak Range Riders Foundation, P.O.
