Obituary
Obituary of Otis Love, Jr.
"O Love In The Buildin'"Otis Love, Jr., a ladies man to say the least, entered this world Sunday, August 31, 1980 in Joliet Illinois, making it clear from day one that he would touch the hearts and lives of everyone he came to know and love. Otis Jr. held a smile so bright it shed light to the entire universe; a heart so big, nothing on this earth could contain it; a demeanor so vicious, it could make the whole world stop and watch him. To have known this man is an extraordinary gift all its own. Born to Otis Love Sr. and Jesse B. Love, he was the second of three boys, John (John-John) D. Love (of whom he is preceded in death) and Bryan J. Love, Sr.. Otis "Stinger" Love, Jr. was loved and adored by his children, K'Vonte D. Love, Ky'Ajia D. Love and Ki'Arey D. Love; his parents, grandparents, siblings, a host of caring aunts and uncles, and a plethora of loving cousins, admiring nieces and nephews and not to forget the individuals he would later refer to as "Fam" or "G". Otis Love, Jr was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 30, 2014.Spontaneous, adventurous and flirtatious, Otis had the gift of gab and the desire to never meet a stranger. Never one to be selfish, if he had it, it was yours; be it his home, his food, or his 90. He was always kind and extremely generous. He never lost his sense of wonder or dared to take one single breath for granted. He completely loved and lived life to the fullest, never wanting to endure a dull moment and always seeking to learn and try new and exciting things. Even if one door closed, he had the ability to ensure another would surely open. An avid die hard Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls fanatic, Otis Love loved his sports to the fullest. Dangerously talented, he excelled at anything he put his mind to. All though we were only privileged enough to have had Otis here with us for just over 34 years, those 34 years were nothing short of a miracle and a blessing all wrapped up in one. He was simply amazing. Stylish, intelligent and hilarious, he would bring a smile to ones day without even trying. Upon entering a room, his presence demanded ones attention. Nothing delighted him more than to spend precious time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, singing and dancing and practically anything that made his heart smile.Don't think of him as gone away, for this journey of his has just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from all the sorrows and all the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Imagine how he must be wishing that if we could only know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. So think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched… for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved ever so much.Visitation, 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, October 17, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Funeral Service, 2:00PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014, Colorado Springs Christian House of Prayer, 4360 Bradley Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
