Obituary of Jack John Wesley

Jack was born on March 1, 1932 to Vernon and Lillian Wesley in the city of Milwaukee, WI. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War doing reconnaissance missions up and down the China Coast. After returning home to Milwaukee, he met and married Ruth Porsow. On May 23, 1968 his son Alan was born. After the death of his wife Ruth in 1979, he later married Laverne Sommerfeld. Soon after that he moved his family to Colorado Springs, CO where he worked in the maintenance department and later as a security guard at the Sheraton hotel. In 1984, he and his wife Laverne purchased a piece of land in Florissant, CO, later building their dream home there. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking and volunteering as a security guard at the food pantry in Divide, CO. He passed away on October 2nd at the age of 82 surrounded by his family.Jack is survived by son, Alan Wesley; his daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Anderson and Catherine Anderson.He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and as having a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
