Obituary of Misty Nichole Fugate-Hicks

Misty Nichole Fugate-Hicks died peacefully on October 7, 2014 with her husband by her side.The youngest of four children, Misty was born June 22, 1985 to Stephany Higgs and Kevin Lynn Fugate in Jackson, Missouri.Misty built a career as a sales clerk and pharmacy technician after getting her GED. A true believer in family first, she was a caring mother with a heartfelt love and concern for her sons that were her world, and a dedicated wife. Misty loved spending time doing things she enjoyed; loved the outdoors, fresh air and the mountains. Watching movies with her family and cooking for them was a joyous time for her. Going for car rides to new places that she'd never seen would bring joy to her face. Even when winter brought the snow, she was at her funniest moments from Christmas time to snowball fights.She will be dearly missed but not forgotten. Always will she have a place in our hearts and be loved by all of her loved ones and friends. Her laughter will echo in our minds as we think of and remember her.She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Lynn Fugate.Misty is survived by her husband, Kelly Hicks; three sons, Issac Sanchez, Iziah Fugate, and Johnathan Hicks; her mother, Stephany Higgs; stepfather, Joe Montoya; brothers, Mathew Rey and David Rey; sister, Stacey Rey; ex-husband, Richard Sanchez; parents-in-law, Ray and Stella; brothers-in-law, Jess and Frank; sister-in-law, Maria Hicks; and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation, 1:00PM-3:00PM, Sunday, October 19, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.May God be with you our love, till next time we meet.
