Obituary of June Maxine Petty

June Petty, age 90, a resident of Colorado Springs since 2007 and formerly of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Parkmoor Village Care Center in Colorado Springs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. June Maxine Bowen was born on January 4, 1924 in Marion, Ohio to the late Ernest and Bertha (Davis) Bowen. She was a 1942 graduate of Central high school. She married Francis Duquesne Petty on October 1, 1945.June loved needlecrafts, reading and spending time with her family.She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1994 and by a brother: "Bud Bowen".She is survived by her children, David (Hetti) Petty of Lithopolis, Ohio, Susan Simpson of Groveland, Florida and Michael (Toni) Petty of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has ten grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
