Obituary of James Robert Stewart

James Robert Stewart was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 20, 1935. He attended St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Nebraska where his family lived and graduated in 1954. After he graduated, he joined the United States Navy, proudly serving his country at sea until his honorable discharge in 1958. Returning to Alliance, he attended Chadron State College and afterword began his career in construction.In 1960, Jim married Patsy Stewart from Alliance and there they lived until moving to Colorado Springs in 1964. Jim continued and expanded his construction expertise until retiring in 1990.Jim enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, golfing and watching football.He is preceded in death by a grandson, Davis Stewart; two brothers; and one sister.Jim is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Stewart; daughter, Kari Stewart Paglia (Mark) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sons, James Stewart (Sarah) and Scott Stewart (Jennifer) of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Jenna, A.J., Tanner, Ashley, Dillon Stewart and Ali Paglia whom were the light of his life; and siblings, Barb Miles and Mike Stewart.It is with extreme sorrow and heavy hearts that we acknowledge his passing.Memorial Mass, 10:00AM, Saturday, November 22, 2014, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado.In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be made to Legacy Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
