Obituary of Mark Kevin Miller

Mark Miller, age 60, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1968 and formerly of Denver, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 as the result of a sudden heart attack. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He had recently been a driving instructor, but for most of his life had been working in flooring sales. He also was an accomplished musician.Mark Kevin Miller was born on May 27, 1954 in Denver, Colorado to the late George and Rosemary (Nemecek) Miller. He was a 1972 graduate of Harrison High School and attended Pikes Peak Community College. He married Sherry Lynn Whitney on November 5, 1994 in Denver. He loved metal detecting, fishing and music. He will be best remembered for his weird sense of humor.Mark is survived by his wife, Sherry; his sons, Kyle (Jana) Miller of Honolulu, Hawaii and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Whitney of San Antonio, Texas; and his daughter, Alysha Miller of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his brothers, Allan (Jean) Miller of Colorado Springs and Chris Mischek of Westminster; one sister, Barbara Connell of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren, Logan and Benjamin.Visitation, 6:30PM–8:30PM, Friday, November 28, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A private family gathering will take place on Saturday.
