Obituary of Robert Arnold Mailloux
Robert "Bob", 74, was born in Fowler, Indiana on June 16, 1940 to Russell and Vera Mailloux.Bob grew up in Southern California in the areas of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach where he attended Newport Harbor High School. He graduated high school in 1958, and received his Bachelors of Business degree from Long Beach State University in 1962. He married the love of his life, Judy, in October 1991. God so knit their hearts together that they become inseparable. They enjoyed many regular activities together such as – Church, shopping, eating out, garage sailing, estate sales or going to their Tops diet meetings. They moved to Peyton Colorado in 2006 to live close to Bob's family.Bob was the owner of an Alta-Dena Dairy Milk delivery franchise in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa California. As a "Milkman" for more than 33 years he regularly delivered Milk bottles to the doors of hundreds of families. He enthusiastically believed his Milk products were the best quality and healthiest you could buy. In his retirement he began a new endeavor selling Kangen Water machines. Once again he become extremely passionate about the many health benefits that these machines provided. Bob always loved life to the fullest. He cherished his family, friends and neighbors and was always meeting new people wherever he went. He was passionate about many things – but especially sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. He touched many people through his hearty laughter and a genuine interest in each person as an individual. He was known for his strong opinions and unabashed ability to share his views which some might say often came without a filter. One of Bob's favorite topics was his family – especially his children and grandchildren which he was very proud of and would brag about at every opportunity. He also enjoyed discussing/debating (filter free) Creationism, Vitamins and "Conspiracy theories" surrounding world powers and government. He was a great storyteller, always including every possible detail in an effort to gain the interest and enthusiasm of his audience. Bob was knowledgeable about history and health. If a friend or loved one had an illness, difficult circumstance or an interest in a topic he would spend his time passionately researching and looking through books, magazines and the internet for answers or helpful information. In fact, he kept specific file folders with people's names on them where he would collect articles and information he hoped they might find of interest the next time he saw them.Bob was active in the community and especially enjoyed his role as a "Greeter" at their church where he also loved preparing for and teaching Sunday School to kids of any age.He is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy" Lenhart Mailloux; his son, Mark (Shelley) Mailloux; his daughter, Susie (Mike) Havel; a stepson, Scott Graham; a stepdaughter, Laurie Hoffman (Dave); four brothers, Russell Mailloux, Phillip Mailloux, Ronald Otto and David Otto; three grandsons, Nathan Mailloux, Tom Havel and Travis Havel; three granddaughters, Jessica Mailloux, Jenee' Mailloux and Valerie Hoffman; and four great-grandchildren, Eden Havel, Michael Havel, Grace Havel, and Nyla Mailloux.A Celebration of his Life will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Calvary Eastside Chapel.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
