I attended Asbury College with Phil. He was a gentle, loving person. It is a comfort to know he is with his Heavenly Father.

It was a privilege to have walked this life with Phil and his family while growing up in Swanton, Ohio. Our lives mingled through church, school, and family gatherings. Phil's character was strong and confident and compassionate......always. He was a leader even then. Kathy and family, Liz and family, Dan, Paul and Nancy, the loss of this remarkable man is shocking and tragic to say the least, but peace comes in the knowing that he rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior. Too soon, yes! But may we all live our lives as full of life as Phil.

I worked with Phil in 19 SOPS. He was always such a genuine and pleasant person with an inherently envious calm and peaceful presence. It was a beautiful service. I am sorry for your loss. Allah grant him Paradise.

Phil Cooley, an Asbury University graduate, is remembered by many Asburians as an alum with a love and support for his alma mater. His Asbury roots run deep and he will be missed by classmates and alumni who had the opportunity of working with him.
