Obituary of Douglas Robert Shearer

Doug Shearer, age 59, died on Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a Laboratory Engineer and later, a District 3 School Bus Driver.Douglas Robert Shearer was born on February 25, 1955 in London, England. He attended schools in England and married Irene Elizabeth Stockwell on June 22, 1974. He was an avid soccer enthusiast and was a West Ham United Soccer fan. Doug had played for England Youth where he received numerous awards. He enjoyed growing vegetables, family time, reading spy novels and playing golf. He will be best remembered as a family man who especially enjoyed his five grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Irene; his children, Michelle (Dan) Suggs of Colorado Springs and Lee (Erica) Shearer of Aliso Viejo, California; a brother, Peter (Sue) Smith of Upminster, England; and a sister, Pauline Deverrick of Romford, England. At his request, no services are planned.
