I am so sad today...Sharon and I were close in elementary school (Rockledge, Florida) and I have thought of her so many times over the years and wondered where life had taken her after her family moved away. I remember her love of horses and ballet (she had a shelf full of horse figurines). I am so sorry I didn't look for her sooner...even as a young girl she had such a light and calming presence. My condolences to her family and friends as I'm sure time doesn't make losing her hurt any less. ~Cheryl Hawkins

Sharon, Sissy, was a beautiful woman in and out. We have been inspired by her struggle with her disease and the love and spirit of the amazing family and community that surrounded her. Her poem is a true reflection of her spirit. I wIll be out of town for her service, but there in spirit.

Sissy was amazing, and taught me so much about being gracious and strong. She never complained, cared so much about me and my family, and was really quite funny! We both loved watching Game of Thrones together along with our family, which was so much fun! I know she is in heaven beautiful and free, and this makes me smile. Love you sissy!
