Obituary of Violet F. Solberg

Violet F. Solberg, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Simla, Colorado. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.Violet Fern Barnett was born on September 11, 1919 in Canton, Illinois to the late Merle G. and Nora Fern Barnett. She attended school in Illinois and graduated from high school in Canton. She married Henry Solberg in 1948.She was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed frequenting Cripple Creek, the Antique Club and watching her grandchildren's school activities and sporting events. She will be best remembered for her sense of humor and her smiling face.She is survived by her two daughters: Jeanie (and Vernon) Lee of Mesa, Arizona and Kelly (and Lyle) Myers of Rush, Colorado. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Crystal (and Josh) Bonner of Chatfield, Texas; Connie (and Josh) Crippen of Falcon, Colorado and Royce Myers (and Jennifer Daffer) of Danbury, Nebraska.
