I worked with Vinnie at ITT during his Accounting days with them, while I handled Communications and Facilities. I loved his sense of humor, that Jersey accent, and his wonderful engaging smile. He and Karen Olson, another easterner, would go round and round about things and I could hear them down the hall as I would approach the area. It made me laugh every single time to listen to them mix it up with those accents, as only they could do. Vinnie was a prankster and that twinkle in his eye never let on to what he was going to do next. It was my privilege to know this wonderful person and I came away the better for it. I will miss you, Vinnie! Carol Hoover

Vinnie, We're all going to miss you. I remember that you used to stand in your garage with the door open during heavy rainstorms just to watch mother nature at work. We liked doing the same thing so it was fun to wave and yell back and forth across the street during the down pours. Safe travels.

I had the privilege of knowing Vince for almost 20 years. He always had such a positive outlook on life. When you asked him how he was doing, he would say "I woke up and put my feet on the ground today, the rest is gravy". I truly believe Vince cherished everyday. He was a wonderful boss, friend, son, husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Debbie and the family. God Bless you Vinnie. Kathy & Ken Nachbar

Such a sad day for anybody who has been touched by Vinnie's smile and kindness - so sad!. I used to work with him many years ago at ITT and, from far away England, I can only remember that Finance was fun, numbers were poetry - well almost :-) - when Vinnie was involved. He is irreplaceable and now in God's safe Heaven. He can rest in peace, watch us ...still smiling. My deepest condolences to his family. I am with you in spirit. Claudine Lanctot

That smile. This man had sparkle and I will never forget him. Strange thing, I was just thinking about Vinnie a couple of days ago and wondered if I had his email. It seems like yesterday when he threw out his retractable ITT/Exelis badge at me and asked, "how ya doin'" with that accent of his (I don't have one :)) It was just yesterday that he was ravaging through the HR refrigerator looking for food and I'd have to say, "Vinnnie! That's so and so's cheese!" As his Benefits Specialist/Administrator, I helped him through those horrid benefits open enrollments. I smile at these memories. I cry at the thought that he's no longer with his family. I've been gone from COS since August 2013. However, those friends I made during my 13 years there and "my employees" remain so very close in my heart. Debbie sold our house for us which brought me closer to Vinnie's family. I remember when Vinnie told me he was cancer free...with that smile...and now to find out it came back is painful. My love and condolences to Debbie and the rest of the family. That smile will keep him forever alive for all of us who loved him. Vinnie....the one and only. Charlotte Metzger

Vinnie, the best of the best. Always there for anyone with the biggest heart and smile. He never could do his timecard on time! Remember the flyers with him in timecard jail? He had a way of making any load feel lighter and finding the laughter in tense situations. Missing the laughter and the light he brought to me life.
