Obituary of Eugene Small

Eugene Small was born in Wiona, Mississippi to Zephrenine Simons and Lonnie C. Small. He departed his life on Thursday, March 26th, 2015.He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his sister, Betty Jean Wilson and a host of relatives and extended family.Eugene migrated to Colorado Springs area as a youth, along with his family and resided here up until his passing. He was a stand out athlete at Palmer High School and was recognized for his qualities as star running back. He was an employee for the City of Colorado Springs until his retirement.Eugene was a respecter of persons and known as a laid back "Kool Kat", who made people feel comfortable in his presence. he had a pearly white smile and a laugh that was contagious. Eugene was known as a father figure and loved by many for his caring nature.
