Obituary of Cadet First Class Alexandre J. Quiros

Alexandre "Alex" Quiros, born May 24, 1993, passed away on April 2, 2015. A brilliant student, he graduated Summa cum Laude from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2011. At the United States Air Force Academy, he was assigned to Cadet Squadron 31, was a senior majoring in astronautical engineering. He made the Dean's List (grade point average of 3.0 or higher) and Commandant's List (cadets with military performance averages of 3.0 or higher) multiple times, most recently in the Fall 2014 semester. He was scheduled to graduate in May of 2015, with graduate studies to follow at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a wonderful and loving young man, a friend to all and a great son and brother. All who knew and loved him, will miss him.He is survived by his parents, Jose and Ksenia; his younger brother Peter; and his grandparents, Boris, Elena and Pedro.Funeral Service, 1:45PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2015, U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, 2306 Sijan Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
