Obituary of Roy Irving Crask
Roy Irving Crask passed away peacefully at his home on April 5, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born on September 21, 1924 to Harold and Margaret Crask in Raton, New Mexico. He was married to the love of his life, Marie DeGruttola, for 67 years. He graduated from the University of Colorado and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Early in his career, Roy served in the United States Navy and worked for Boeing as a test pilot. He and his family lived for many years in Edina, Minnesota where he worked for Honeywell as an engineer on the NASA Space Program, Project Mercury. Roy was a kind and loving husband and father. He will be missed by his wife, Marie; his three daughters, Linda and her husband, Tim Martin of Williamsburg, Virginia, Deborah Riekeman/Raisner of Colorado Springs and Cynthia and her husband, John Davis of Arvada, Colorado. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey Martin, Gregory Martin, and Vanessa Riekeman Helfrich; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caelen, and Alec Helfrich and Evan and Conner Martin.He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexis Riekeman.
