Obituary of Ksenia Borisovna Quiros
Ksenia Borisovna Quirós, mother and wife, was born on September 12, 1969 in Moscow Russia. Ksenia was a beautiful person inside and out, a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a good friend. She loved her sons more than anything, and could not bear the thought of living without Alex.Ksenia was very intelligent and warm, her laugh was memorable and a joy to hear. She was born in Moscow to PhD's in virology. She graduated from Moscow Institute for Foreign Languages with honors. She worked at the International Finance Corporation in the early 1990s and, in 1996, she was accepted to Columbia University, International relations faculty through the Maski program for foreign students. Thereafter, she became a homemaker, but loved children and helped at the Broadmoor Elementary during lunch and worked at the Cheyenne Zoo during last summer, where her son Peter was attending a summer camp. Her son Alex was born in May 24, 1993. She bravely, alone and never complaining raised Alex, in Moscow, for the first few years of Alex's life. She later met and married Jose; Alex was fully adopted and her small family moved to the United States. Her youngest son Peter was born in 2001 in Colorado Springs; she was full of joy at her new baby. She was so proud of all of Peter's adventures and she laughed often with joy at his every sound and expression. Her life was her sons, both good men in their own right, who were blessed with the most dedicated and loving mother anyone could ever hope for. Her love for them knew no bounds, earthly or otherwise.Ksenia is preceded in death by her son, Alexandre Quiros. She is survived by her husband, Jose; her son, Peter; her mother, Elena A.
