Obituary of Rev. Karl Clifton Kornmueller

Rev. Karl Clifton Kornmueller, age 73, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.Karl Clifton Kornmueller was born on July 7, 1941 in Warren, Ohio to the late Karl William and Irma (Conklin) Kornmueller. He was a graduate of Arvada High School, and later married Marlene Norwood on August 1, 1964 in Denver, Colorado.He initially started his career as a Foreman for a commercial plumbing company in Commerce City, CO. A few years later, he was elected and served as Senior Pastor of Ordway Assembly of God. After serving for seven years, he was then elected to Corporate Secretary of the Rocky Mountain District of the Assembly of God serving 17 years before accepting another pastoral appointment to Family Christian Center in Colorado Springs, CO.During his free time, he enjoyed walks with his wife, working on projects around the house, camping, fishing and he also was an avid reader. He loved spending time with family and his beloved grandchildren. He will be best remembered for his honesty, integrity and love of life and God.He is survived by his wife: Marlene; his three sons: Greg (and Ruth) Kornmueller of West Jordan, Utah; Karl (and Michelle) Kornmueller of Eudora, Kansas and Jason (and Lee Parsons) Kornmueller, of Castle Rock, Colorado. He has six grandchildren: Brooke, Brandon, Kaedon, Braxton, Jaxon and Grayson.He is also survived by his brother: Paul Kornmueller of Broomfield, Colorado and his sisters: Marilyn (and husband, Ken) Ruttan of Monument, Colorado and Nancy Gouletas of Las Vegas, Nevada.A service celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Friendship Assembly, 3685 New Center Point, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80922.
