Obituary of Marshall Paul Hughes
Marshall P. Hughes, age 49, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs passed away on May 3, 2015. He had retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service to his country. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and patriot.Marshall Paul Hughes was born on June 21, 1965 in Plymouth, New Hampshire to Bernard and Hazel (Bruce) Hughes. He was a 1984 graduate of Ashland High School and then entered the Army. He had three tours in Germany, one each in Korea and Egypt, and then was assigned to Fort Carson. He attained the rank of E7, Sargeant First Class and specialized in mechanics.He married Tammela Jill Roe on November 29, 1989 in Bridgewater, New Hampshire. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be best remembered for being a family man, a soldier, and the commitments he made to is family and country. He will be dearly missed.Marshall is survived by his wife, Tammy; his daughter, Samantha; his son: Justin; his father, Bernard Hughes of Bridgewater, New Hampshire; and his mother, Hazel Cilley of Orange City, Florida.
